Gravel

How is endurance and gravel riding any different than regular road riding? Well for starters, the obvious difference is that newer all-road models built for endurance and gravel rides offer benefits for riding long hours on surfaces that can vary from smooth pavement to corrugated dirt roads and trails. Endurance and gravel bikes often give the rider a more upright position as control and comfort typically outweigh the all-out aero geometry of performance road bikes. You'll also find that all-road models have clearance for larger volume tires. The traction and comfort you get from bigger tires makes them more optimized for riding on uneven and looser surfaces. These models make great tools for gravel/endurance racing, long exploration style rides, and bikepacking. When you want to ride fast and stay comfortable over any road you come across, these are the models to choose.

The Sutra LTD is one of those bikes that just changes everything. You thought you were a mountain biker, but you find yourself sneaking off on adventures and enjoying the drop bars on the LTD. You thought you were a roadie but find yourself absolutely destroying singletrack when no one else is looking and suddenly it's all you wanna do! That's the best part about the Sutra LTD—it broke the mold of what a bike has to be. It's got bigger tires, burlier construction, and enough mounts to hold a horse. But who needs a horse when this is your horse?

The Ouroboros is an all-new platform from the unbound minds at Kona. We bring you three builds– each meant for its own incredibly rowdy ride to the ends of the earth and back. Pack it expertly for the long haul, nimbly explore the edges of singletrack, or complete multiple days of the most wonderfully weird and delightfully chaotic of events. While other gravel bikes may technically tolerate mountain bike components, the Ouroboros is intentionally designed around the rowdy stuff – like 180mm rotors, 2.1 tire clearance, and front suspension, giving you a ride feel that is otherworldly and almost mistakable for a modern trail bike.
