How is endurance and gravel riding any different than regular road riding? Well for starters, the obvious difference is that newer all-road models built for endurance and gravel rides offer benefits for riding long hours on surfaces that can vary from smooth pavement to corrugated dirt roads and trails. Endurance and gravel bikes often give the rider a more upright position as control and comfort typically outweigh the all-out aero geometry of performance road bikes. You'll also find that all-road models have clearance for larger volume tires. The traction and comfort you get from bigger tires makes them more optimized for riding on uneven and looser surfaces. These models make great tools for gravel/endurance racing, long exploration style rides, and bikepacking. When you want to ride fast and stay comfortable over any road you come across, these are the models to choose.

Giant Revolt Advanced 1
$2,599.95
Almost anything goes in gravel racing and riding. It’s a mixed-up challenge of speed, endurance and handling. This high-performance all-rounder does it all. It’s smooth, it’s efficient, and it’s your new best friend for pushing limits on roads, gravel and dirt. This high-performance all-rounder made a big splash with its 2018 debut, landing podium finishes at big-time gravel events including Grinduro and the unofficial “Gravel Worlds” in the U.S. It’s designed around a lightweight Advanced composite frameset with gravel-riding geometry, so you can tackle long, hard rides with greater control and less fatigue. A composite fork eats up bumps, and the D-Fuse seatpost and Contact XR D-Fuse handlebar absorb shocks and vibrations. The frame is integrated for disc brakes and has clearance for larger tires up to 45c so you can float through the rough stuff. Add in some clever frame details, including the X-Defender downtube protector and smart mount system for racks and accessories, and you have everything you need for your gravel adventures. KEY PERFORMANCE FACTORS Versatile gravel geometry - All-new gravel-riding geometry features endurance positioning and shorter chainstays. The result is precise handling, agility and control in all situations, from out-of-the-saddle road climbs to fast and rugged dirt road descents. Tuned compliance - An innovative new Contact XR D-Fuse handlebar and D-Fuse seatpost work as a system to help absorb shock without sacrificing the stiffness needed for aggressive road performance. Added frame clearance for high-volume 45c tires help smooth out rough roads, gravel and dirt. All-rounder efficiency - Advanced composite frame maximizes pedaling power, giving Revolt Advanced a smooth, fast ride quality on variable riding surfaces.
Kona Sutra LTD
$2,198.95

Orbea Avant H30
$1,766.95
You knew when you planned the ride it would be a long day - a route stacked with grinding climbs and twisting descents, terrible roads with a good amount of who-knows-what-else thrown in. These rides aren't most people's idea of fun, but they sure are memorable, monumental, challenging. It’s why you keep going. You have another coffee and pull on your shoe covers to hold the weather at bay, it's going to clear out and warm up in a few hours...maybe. Grab your Avant and do a quick check before rolling into the morning mist. No other machine could better help you endure the hours of rough, exhausting conditions ahead. It's going to be a long day - and you relish it. The Avant frame utilizes Endurance Geometry, born from years of analyzing how ergonomics can help you ride further. Unlike a racing geometry that is focused on aerodynamics, endurance ergonomics result in a bike that is easier to ride and reduces fatigue. Handling is precise and intuitive. Angles and dimensions are considered carefully across a range of sizes to maximize rider comfort. And more comfort means longer rides. In order to increase pedaling efficiency, the headtube, downtube, and chainstays of the Avant are shaped to resist twisting and transmit power to the rear wheel. There is no doubt about it, large cross-sections and resistance to flex in the bottom of the frame translate directly to more watts on the road and a sensation that power transfer is instantaneous. The Avant fork uses a shallower, rounded-blade profile and longer fork legs to offer the best combination of elasticity, tire clearance, and torsional stiffness. The increased axle-to-crown height is offset by a shorter headtube to maintain stack measurements and improve aesthetics. Internal cable routing in the frame protects the cables from the elements and results in a cleaner look. The carefully chosen quality components ensure you keep rolling hour after hour. - Hydroformed triple-butted aluminum frame, carbon fork - Shimano 105 drivetrain - Shimano RS100 wheels
Orbea Gain D40 USA
$2,998.95
Orbea designed the Gain to boost your riding experience into high gear while still managing to blend in with the crowd. Its e-bike system is modern, integrated, and sleek. Gain embraces your sweat and hard work and works in unison with your efforts to tick off the miles. Distractions have been minimized so it's just you, your bike, and the hours ahead. The heart of the Gain is the pedal-assist rear hub motor, which monitors your pedaling input and adjusts power accordingly. This sophisticated drive system provides smooth and reliable assistance at levels designed to enhance your ride, not dominate it. And since the motor is at the hub, you’ll experience drag-free pedaling when Gain is not providing a push. Gain’s control center is the iWoc ONE—a simple, attractive, and discreet button integrated into the top tube. It allows you to power the system on or off, check motor assist levels, and view the remaining battery charge. The button's colored LED lighting puts all the information you need right at your fingertips. Recharging the system is a breeze—the CAN (Controller Area Network) port on the downtube provides a single interface for charging, system diagnosis, or attaching an external backup battery. The battery is typically one of the most noticeable components of an e-bike system, so Orbea took every step to find the lightest, smallest, and most discreet system available. The idea is to provide you with enough battery power, but not more. This eliminates the need for a bulky, high-output battery that needs to be removed from the bike. Orbea calls this concept "Enough Energy", and it's at the core of the Gain's design. The result is an exceptionally lightweight, sporty, and rideable bike—a machine that heeds the call of the open road.
