Stage 1 - Kellog Hollow Road Race:

This stage is included in the Stage Race for Pro-1-2 racers, and is optional (and seperate from the Stage Race) for Women-1-2-3 and Cat 3 men.

If there are sizeable fields at this year's Friday stage, we may make this stage part of the stage race for 2008.

The course is a 27 mile loop; elevation gain is 2200 feet per lap. The start is in Waitsburg, there is a 7 mile section leading to the loop, and 1+ mile section after the loop leading to the finish line. The first half mile is neutral until after crossing the railroad tracks. The tracks are rough and at a high angle. They will not be covered -- walking over the tracks may be advisable

There are two corners with a sharp left turn after a descent. One is at 15.5 miles into the race. The other is at 26.5 miles. Pro-1-2's will encounter each turn twice, as they are doing the loop two times.

Stage 2 - Wilson Hollow Time Trial:

An out-and-back time trial on rolling terrain. 400 feet of total elevation gain on a narrow country road.

Time trial start list is available.

Stage 3 - Waitsburg Road Race:

A rolling course on good country roads. 45-inch gear is recommended.

The road race course will be a combination of a short loop and a long loop, depending on category. All groups will ride in a clockwise direction, staging at 10th and Coppei in Waitsburg, finishing at the top of the most significant climb on the course (2.1 miles long, 5% average grade).

During the first two neutral miles, going up the 5% grade, speed for all groups will be held to 8 mph. A warm-up is recommended anyhow.

Stage 4 - Criterium:

Flat, fast, six corner downtown criterium. Half-mile loop; roads are rough and bumpy in places. Wide open finishing straight. Course will be run clockwise.
